Hungarian Nut Cake
- Preparation Time:- 10 mins
- Baking Time:- 30 mins
- Cake Ingredients
- 4oz butter
- 4oz brown sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 4oz flour
- Few drops of vanilla essence
- Topping Ingredients
- 4-6oz chopped walnuts
- 8oz brown sugar
- 2egg whites
- Method Cream butter, sugar, add egg yolks, well beaten flour, baking powder and vanilla essence
- Pat down into baking pan measuring 8x8 inches and sprinkle with chopped walnuts
- Beat egg whites, add brown sugar, beat again and spread on top of cake
- Bake in a slow oven for about 30 mins
