Hungarian Nut Cake

  • Preparation Time:- 10 mins
  • Baking Time:- 30 mins

  • Cake Ingredients
  • 4oz butter
  • 4oz brown sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 4oz flour
  • Few drops of vanilla essence

  • Topping Ingredients
  • 4-6oz chopped walnuts
  • 8oz brown sugar
  • 2egg whites

  • Method
  • Cream butter, sugar, add egg yolks, well beaten flour, baking powder and vanilla essence
  • Pat down into baking pan measuring 8x8 inches and sprinkle with chopped walnuts
  • Beat egg whites, add brown sugar, beat again and spread on top of cake
  • Bake in a slow oven for about 30 mins
